What is the best exercise for weight loss?
The one you will do consistently.
Choose an exercise that:
- noticeably increases your heart rate and breathing but doesn’t leave you breathless.
- you can do for an at least 10 minutes at a time.
- involves continuous movement of your large muscle groups.
Examples:
- walking
- jogging
- biking
- swimming
- using a stationary exercise machine such as an elliptical or cross-trainer,
stair climber, or rowing machine
It’s also important to start and maintain a strength training program to maintain your muscle mass.
