Moderate to severe high blood pressure.
A condition in which your blood pressure is chronically elevated above normal or optimal levels. (It has been elevated on two or more occasions over a period of time.)
Stage 2 hypertension is generally defined as having a systolic blood pressure of 160 mmHg or higher OR a diastolic blood pressure of 100mmHg or higher.
You may also have stage 2 hypertension if you are taking medication to lower your blood pressure.
