Moderate intensity definition

Describes physical activity or exercise that requires a medium amount of exertion.

You are probably exercising at a moderate intensity if you can carry on a brief conversation while doing it but you can’t comfortably sing your favorite song.

ACSM quantifies moderate intensity exercise as working between 64% and 76% of your maximum heart rate.

Thirty minutes of moderate intensity exercise, most days of the week is the minimum amount of exercise recommended for adults for health.
